Man dies of stab wounds after row in Southend street

Two men aged 18 and 19 have been arrested on suspicion of murder over the death of a 38-year-old man found stabbed in an Essex street.

The man, from the South Woodham Ferrers area, was found collapsed in Priory Crescent, Southend, on Saturday night.

A police spokesman said: "He is thought to have been stabbed during an argument with a number of others near Priory Park.

"A post-mortem examination will be held to establish a precise cause of death."

The two arrested men are being questioned by detectives at Southend.

Police are trying to trace others believed to have been involved in the argument.

"Detectives especially want to hear from two women and a man with a young child who were nearby at the time and may have witnessed the incident," the spokesman said.
