Trucker bailed in Port of Dover immigrant case
A lorry driver arrested after 17 suspected illegal immigrants were found in his trailer suffering from dehydration has been released on bail.
The 53-year-old man, who was questioned on suspicion of immigration offences, must report to police in September.
The men and boys were discovered in the back of an articulated lorry at the Port of Dover on Friday.
Police and border officials were alerted after banging was heard coming from the lorry on board a ferry.
Paramedics were called to treat the stowaways before they were taken for questioning by the UK Border Agency.
