Motorists, residents and bus users in Reading are being warned of delays as work to replace a major gas pipe at a junction gets under way.

Southern Gas Networks is replacing old metallic mains at Cemetery Junction with new plastic piping which, they say, will last for the next 80 years.

The work will take place overnight between 1900 BST on Saturday and 1000 BST on Sunday, a spokesman said.

The inbound Kings Road bus lane at the junction will shut to allow the work.
