Man charged over Norfolk village shooting

A 57-year-old man has been charged with two counts of attempted murder following a shooting in a Norfolk village.

A husband and wife, believed to be in their 60s, were attacked in Nordelph, near Downham Market, on Wednesday.

Kevin Barrett, of High Street, Nordelph, has also been charged with firearms offences. He will appear before King's Lynn magistrates later.

The male victim remains in hospital, the woman has been discharged.

The man was shot in the hand and is described as being in a stable condition.

The woman was shot in the torso.
