Man found shot in Llangollen appears in court

A man found with a shotgun wound last month has been remanded in custody and his case sent to the crown court.

Philip Morris, 46, from Clawdd Poncen, Denbighshire, was remanded by Prestatyn magistrates until his next court appearance at Mold on 2 July.

He is charged with possessing a sawn-off shotgun and perverting the course of justice following an incident in Llangollen on 19 May.

He underwent emergency surgery and a major investigation was launched.
