Kent teenager held over serious assault in Crowborough

A man has been arrested on suspicion of deliberately driving a car at a teenager in Sussex.

Sussex Police said a 17-year-old suffered head injuries when a silver Vauxhall Corsa mounted the pavement and struck him on Tuesday evening.

He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries.

Detectives said they were questioning an 18-year-old man from Kent on suspicion of serious assault.
