Wikileaks chief on Manning leak claims

Help

Wikileaks editor-in-chief Julian Assange has spoken about the detention of Bradley Manning following allegations that the US soldier passed two military videos and thousands of US diplomatic cables to the website.

Wikileaks say that claims that they were given the cables are incorrect and have refused to confirm or deny that the 22-year-old serviceman is their source.

Mr Manning who is being held in Kuwait has not been formally charged.

Julian Assange was answering journalists' questions at a press conference held prior to an event in the European Parliament.
