Woman charged over driving 'wrong way' on M11 in Essex

A 42-year-old woman has been charged after a car was driven the wrong way on the M11.

A black Peugeot 307 was travelling north on the southbound carriageway on Tuesday evening.

Police said a driver managed to get the Peugeot off the carriageway near the roadworks north of the Stansted Airport junction.

An Enfield woman has been charged with drink driving and will appear at Harlow Magistrates' Court on 30 June.

A police spokesman said they did not have any more information on how the Peugeot was stopped.
