More locals arrested in TT races in Isle of Man

More locals than visitors were arrested during TT races on the Isle of Man this year.

Police say the number of arrests made was similar to last year - but 78% of those arrested were Manx residents.

In general, officers say they are happy with the statistics - especially as there were more tourists than in 2009.

Supt Paul Cubbon said the TT races always have that "carnival atmosphere" and offences tended to be low-level and related to alcohol.
