Man injured in 'unprovoked' attack in Cumbria

A man needed hospital treatment after being assaulted by two men in an "unprovoked" attack in south Cumbria.

The 26-year-old victim was in Main Street, Grange over Sands, when he was set upon in the early hours of Sunday, police said.

Officers are now trying to trace two men in their early 30s. One was wearing a grey T-shirt and the other a blue hooded jumper.

The victim was treated in Furness General Hospital for facial injuries.

It is believed the attackers got out of a green people carrier before the assault.
