A Greater Manchester man, who sexually assaulted a young mother as she slept alongside her baby, has been jailed for two years.
Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court heard that Krysztof Krysiak, 53, of Derbyshire Lane, Stretford, let himself into the 19-year-old's woman's home.
He pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting her on 15 November 2009.
Speaking after the hearing, police said that Krysiak had known the woman socially before the attack.
The woman, who was having a nap with her baby daughter, woke up when she realised she was being assaulted, causing Krysiak to stop and leave the flat.
Police said that she eventually followed Krysiak and asked him why he had assaulted her and he replied: "You were asking for it."
The woman's partner arrived home, police were called and Krysiak was arrested.
Det Con Barry Conway, said: "A young mother should be able to have a nap with her baby free from the fear that someone will come in and abuse her like this.
"The attack only lasted a matter of moments but Greater Manchester Police still recognised the severity of it and the long-lasting affect it will have on this woman so today's result is satisfying to see."
Krysiak must sign the Sex Offenders register for 10 years.
