The internet can now be used by victims and witnesses to report incidents of hate crime directly to police in Cambridgeshire for them to investigate.
The new online reporting form is available via the police website.
Insp Mat Newman said: "Victims of hate crime can often feel isolated and may not want to talk to the police in the first instance.
"They may still want to report the incident so the online system has been introduced to make this easier."
Once a crime has been reported online it will be allocated to an officer for investigation.
Insp Newman said: "You do not have to be the victim of hate - the system is also available to those who witness a hate crime or are reporting on behalf of someone else.
"The force takes all reports of hate crime extremely seriously and we want people to report all incidents.
"We hope this online reporting system will allow us to get a clear understanding of hate crimes and help us to hold the perpetrators to account."
