Mum told 'stay away' from cannabis

A district judge told a mother of three to stop taking herbal cannabis otherwise it would "wreck her head".

Caoimhe McConnell, 25, of Hawthorn Drive, pleaded guilty to possessing the drug at Londonderry Magistrates Court on Monday.

A quantity of the drug, worth £25, was found in her home last July.

Imposing a fine of £100 Judge Barney McElholm said "stay away from that stuff, it will steal away your soul and wreck your head".
