Derby motorcyclist dies in collision in Leicestershire


A 35-year-old man died when his motorbike was involved in a collision with a car in Leicestershire.

The crash happened on Melbourne Lane, near the A453 junction, in Isley Walton on Saturday night and involved a Suzuki GSF 600 and Honda Civic.

The motorcyclist, Peter Etches from Chaddesden, Derby, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

He was going towards Melbourne when he was in collision with the car going in the opposite direction.

The driver of the Honda was unhurt.

Leicestershire Police has appealed for any witnesses to contact them.
