Thousands take part in Great Nottinghamshire Bike Ride

More than 4,000 people have been taking part in the 29th Great Nottinghamshire Bike Ride.

The event, organised by Nottinghamshire County Council, started and finished at the National Waters Sports Centre at Holme Pierrepont.

Cyclists had four rides to choose from, ranging from a single family lap to a 75-mile route.

The ride, which started in 1982, drew part of its original inspiration from the London to Brighton bike ride.
