Climber finds body in Bristol beauty spot

A climber sparked a police probe after finding a body on the path of a charity cycle route through Bristol.

The unidentified body was discovered at mid morning on Sunday on a stretch of the A4 Portway in Clifton known as Black Rocks.

Avon and Somerset police have sent a forensics team and say they are "keeping an open mind".

The find is on the route of Bristol's Biggest Bike Ride, which supports the Lord Mayor's Appeal for Children.

The road is closed for the bike ride, with a police cordon up around the site of the discovery.
