Trapped seagull rescued from Exmouth gutter

A seagull chick has been rescued by a fire crew after it got stuck in guttering in a property in east Devon.

The crew from Exmouth was called to the property in Camperdown Terrace in the town on Saturday morning.

Fire officers then used a triple extension ladder to get to the young bird and release it from the roof's gutter.

The RSPCA was informed about the incident so it could collect and treat the bird, the fire service said.
