Sick cliff path teenager airlifted to Dorset hospital

A teenager was airlifted to hospital by coastguards after suffering a seizure while walking on a steep cliff path.

The 15-year-old girl, who is thought to be asthmatic, was out with a group of friends when she became unwell at St Alban's Head near Swanage, Dorset.

The Dorset air ambulance was called on Saturday afternoon but could not reach the girl as it does not have a winch.

The coastguard helicopter was scrambled and airlifted the teenager to Dorset County Hospital for treatment.
