Four more students from a college in Leicester have returned home from South Africa with their families after a bus crash in which three people died.

The students were part of a group from Brooksby Melton College on a wildlife study tour.

They were travelling from Swaziland to Nelspruit when their bus overturned on 10 June.

The college said it was hoping for the speedy return of the remaining members of the group.

It said the latest people to return were "understandably distressed and anxious".

'Positive progress'

The college's marketing manager Anita Ladva said: "We are relieved that more students have returned today.

"There are still three members of the party with their families in South Africa and they are all progressing positively and we are all hoping for their speedy return.

"We are working closely with Chameleon Worldwide to bring home those students who are fit for travel as soon as we get medical clearance."

Eleanor Payne and Samantha Lake, both 19, were killed in the crash.

Fellow student Daniel Greenwood, 22, died later in hospital.
