Woman and children in fire rescue

A woman and her two children have been rescued from a blaze after firefighters broke in to a house in Northamptonshire.

Two crews were called to Water Pump Court, Thorplands, Northampton, shortly after 0100 BST.

After forcing entry to the house they rescued a woman in her 30s and two children, aged five and seven.

The fire began in the kitchen and is believed to have been caused by cooking that had been left unattended.
