Teenager charged with 16-year-old's murder in Sydenham

A third teenage boy has been charged with the murder of a 16-year-old boy stabbed in south-east London.

Nicholas Pearton was beaten and stabbed in Home Park Recreation Ground in Sydenham on 5 May as he tried to flee from up to 10 attackers, police said.

He staggered up to a fast food shop where he died in front of his mother.

The accused 16-year-old will appear at Camberwell Green Youth Court later. Two other youths, aged 16 and 17, were charged with the murder previously.
