Man threatened in Charnwood Waters knife robbery

A man has been threatened with a knife during a robbery at a Leicestershire beauty spot.

The victim was walking his dog at Charnwood Waters in Loughborough on Wednesday morning when he was approached by four men.

One of the men asked him for cigarettes, then a second person in the group produced a knife and stole his wallet and mobile phone.

The victim was unhurt but left "very distressed", police said.

The man with the knife was described as white, aged between 20 to 25-years-old, about 5ft 10ins to 6ft (1.78m to 1.83m) tall, with short dark hair and stubble on his face.

He was wearing a dark-grey hooded top with zip front, blue tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.

Police have appealed for witnesses.
