Work on Northamptonshire school hall due to start

The building of a new £615,000 school hall in Northamptonshire begins on Friday.

The hall is being built at Cranford Church of England Primary School and will be used as a dining area and for PE activities as well as assemblies.

The hall, which will also include a large class room, will replace the current temporary hall.

It will also be fitted out with stage lighting and audio visual equipment to help with drama productions.

A sod cutting ceremony will be held on Friday afternoon to mark the start of the construction works.

The work is expected to be completed by November 2010.
