- Published
A date has been set for the recovery of radioactive particles from the seabed near the Dounreay nuclear power plant in Caithness.
A remotely-operated vehicle, the size of a transit van, is expected to begin the operation on 7 July.
Dounreay Site Restoration Limited, which is leading the clean-up of the plant and surrounding area, said up to 700 fragments could be retrieved.
The machine to be used should be built and tested by the end of this month.
