A man has died in hospital after being found with severe burns next to the A82.
The 53-year-old was found by a passing motorist at about 0825 BST on the road between Crianlarich and Tyndrum.
Police said the man's car was discovered nearby. The road was closed for a while after the incident, but has now reopened.
The man, who was from Lanarkshire, was airlifted to hospital in Glasgow, where he later died.
Central Scotland Police said they are not treating the incident as suspicious but a spokeswoman said: "Our inquiries into the circumstances are at an early stage and we appeal for anybody with information to come forward."
