Pig death farm fire 'not suspicious'

A fire at a piggery in Suffolk in which hundreds of pigs died is not being treated as suspicious.

More than 30 firefighters from across the county and Norfolk worked to put out the fire at Poplar Hall Farm, Occold, near Eye, early on Wednesday.

It burned for more than six hours and killed almost 300 pigs.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service, which carried out an investigation, said the fire is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault.
