A man wanted by police investigating a shooting in Preston has been arrested after an appeal on BBC Crimewatch.
Lancashire Police wanted to speak to Rizwan Arif, 31, after a man and his four-year-old son were shot at in Fulwood in February.
A member of the public contacted police after his picture appeared on the wanted board.
Mr Arif was detained in Essex has been taken to Lancashire for questioning on suspicion of attempted murder.
Four people have already been charged in connection with the shooting and have been remanded in custody pending a trial on 5 October.
The man and his son were returning home from a mosque when they were shot at on 12 February.
No-one was injured in the incident which happened in Ferndale.
