Metal Hammer honour for Sir Christopher Lee

Dracula actor Sir Christopher Lee has been honoured at Metal Hammer magazine's Golden God awards in London.

The actor, 88, who released a rock album earlier this year, was presented with the spirit of hammer prize by Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi.

Iommi's band Heaven & Hell won best album while Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry won the riff lord award.

Ozzy Osbourne's former bandmate Zakk Wylde was named golden god at the celebration of heavy metal music.

US band Five Finger Death Punch picked up the best newcomer award at the ceremony at indigO2.

Welsh rockers Bullet For My Valentine won the best UK band award while Lamb of God were best international group.
