Suffolk wedding toddler led away in abduction attempt

A toddler at a wedding was a led away by a teenage girl in what police are treating as an attempted abduction.

The girl, aged two, was outside St Peters Church, Lowestoft, on Saturday when relatives saw her walking away with an older girl holding her hand.

The teenager let go and got into a black car waiting near the church gate, which was then driven away.

The girl was in her early teens, slim with short dark hair in a bob style.

She was about 5ft 3in (1.6m) to 5ft 5in (1.65m) and was wearing a blue top and black trousers, police said.

Officers are keen for the girl, or anyone who knows who she is, to come forward.

They are also trying to trace the car and want to speak to anyone who saw it outside the church.
