Camping climbers spark alert on Dorset coast


Police in three counties joined a search for two climbers thought to be missing on the Dorset coast.

A police helicopter and coastguard rescuers were called on Sunday at 1326 BST when a friend raised the alarm.

Teams from Swanage, St Albans Head, Kimmeridge and Portland Bill searched cliffs while Surrey and Cambridgeshire police called the climbers' homes.

The search was called off at 1524 BST when the pair texted their friend to say they were camping.
