Man arrested over cyclist crash death


A driver has been arrested in connection with the death of a cyclist who was knocked down in West Lothian over the weekend.

The 37-year-old man died after the collision on Stirling Road in Kirkliston on Saturday afternoon.

Lothian and Borders Police said a 42-year-old man was due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday charged with road traffic offences.

Officers have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.

The identity of the cyclist has not yet been released.
