Homes evacuated as bins set on fire in Worcester

A house and a gas main were badly damaged when a string of bin fires were started in Worcester.

No-one was injured but three other properties had to be evacuated because of a fire in Tolladine Road at about 0500 BST.

The incident was one of 12 bin fires started within a half mile radius of Hambleside Drive between 0450 BST and 0700 BST.

West Mercia Police said one person was helping with inquiries.
