TT crash riders Cummins and Martin 'stable' in hospital

Motorcyclists Conor Cummins and Guy Martin are both in a stable condition in hospital after crashing during racing on the Isle of Man.

Both riders were airlifted to Noble's Hospital after being injured in separate crashes during Friday's Senior TT race.

Martin bruised his lungs and fractured his spine when he lost control at Ballagarey, Marown.

Cummins has arm and leg injuries after coming off at the Verandah.

Consultant Maric Thorpe said Martin "appears to be taking it very well."

"When he came in he was slightly confused asking us how it had happened and so he has no recollection of what happened, but that may come back," he said.

The race was won by Ian Hutchinson who made history by becoming the first rider to win five TT races in a week.
