Two held over cyclist attack on Southampton bridge

A man and a woman have been arrested after a cyclist was beaten up and seriously hurt on a Southampton bridge.
The 24-year-old victim was cycling on Central Bridge on Tuesday night when he was attacked by a group of people.
He suffered serious head injuries and remains in a critical condition in the neurological unit at Southampton General Hospital.
An 18-year-old woman and 26-year-old man, both of Southampton, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
They remain in police custody.
