Remand on Colwyn Bay takeaway assault charge


A 46-year-old man has been remanded in custody accused of seriously injuring the owner of a takeaway restaurant.

Paul John Evans, of Colwyn Bay, Conwy county, will appear at Caernarfon Crown Court on Friday accused of wounding with intent to cause GBH.

Wai Hong Wong, of the Oriental Express in Colwyn Bay, was taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd with serious head injuries.

The court heard that an incident occurred inside the takeaway on Wednesday afternoon.
