Leicester infant school head appointed OBE


A Leicester infant school head has been appointed an OBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours list.

Kathryn Broadhurst, from Green Lane school, has been praised by Ofsted for creating an "excellent school".

She has received the honour for services to education at a school where many of the 350 children starting do not have Engllish as a first language.

Also appointed an OBE is Marion Lewis, chair of Neighbourhood and Homewatch Network, England and Wales.
