Man admits having indecent images of children

A 31-year-old man from Norfolk has admitted possessing indecent photographs of children.

Craig Wright, of Cobholm, Great Yarmouth, was found to have two computer discs with films of under-age girls on them.

They were found when police searched his home on 26 November last year, Norwich Crown Court heard.

Wright was given a 14-week prison sentence suspended for two years.

'Abuse would stop'

He was placed on the sex offenders register for seven years and disqualified from ever working with children.

He was also ordered to attend a sex offenders treatment programme as part of a two-year supervision order.

Katherine Moore, representing Wright, said in mitigation that her client was of previous good character and had become depressed.

Recorder Guy Ayers told Wright: "You have downloaded images of children being abused and if people didn't download them the abuse would stop."
