A football tournament in honour of a Royal Marine from Peebles killed in Afghanistan has set a new fundraising record.
This year's Alec Lucas Memorial Tournament raised £23,000 compared with £19,500 12 months ago.
The funds support grassroots football causes and the Royal Marines Benevolent Fund.
The marine's father, Adrian Lucas, said the total was "incredible" and thanked the public for its generosity.
Mr Lucas died in 2008 after an explosion while on patrol in the Helmand Province in Afghanistan.
He was a keen footballer who played for East of Scotland League sides, Peebles FC and Vale of Leithen.
The inaugural Alec Lucas Memorial Tournament at Whitestone Park in Peebles was held last year with the second event staged last month.
