Body in bin killer appeals against murder conviction


A woman found guilty with her lover for murdering a teenager and dumping his body in a recycling bin is to appeal against her conviction.

Amanda Allden, 29, was jailed in May 2009 for the killing of Nathan Lyons, 17, of Birmingham.

Allden, of Burcot Lane, Bromsgrove, and Scott Hancox, 35, of Fownhope Close, Redditch, received minimum tariffs of 15 and 17 years respectively.

The Court of Appeal will hear her case on 6 July.
