Extra time to question Harlow stab murder suspect

Detectives have been granted extra time to question an Essex man arrested on suspicion of murder.

The 39-year-old was arrested at his Harlow home on Saturday morning following a stabbing in the area.

Anthony Farley, 36, from Harlow, was stabbed to death and a 47-year-old man suffered serious stab wounds during the attack at Pennymead early on Saturday.

A 54-year-old man also arrested on suspicion of murder was released without charge.

The 47-year-old injured man was being treated at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, police said.
