Store windows smashed in race attack in Corby

A man smashed the windows of a convenience store in Northamptonshire after a "racially-motivated" argument with a cashier.

The offender was queuing with a crate of cans in Londis in Rockingham Road, Corby, on Saturday evening.

He dropped the crate on the floor, causing them to split, and argued with the person behind the till.

He caused damage to the store as he left, including shattering its windows, police said.

Witnesses to the incident, between 1730 and 1740 BST, are asked to contact officers.

The man is described as white, in his early 20s, about 6ft (1.83m), with short red hair.

He was wearing a black vest and black jogging bottoms.
