Grandmother killed by car in Buckinghamshire named

A grandmother who was killed when a car mounted a pavement in Buckinghamshire has been named by police.

Judy De Gelas, 59, was on High Street, West Wycombe, when the car hit a lamppost killing her and injuring her grandchildren.

The boy, aged nine and a girl of five have now left hospital.

The driver, a 46-year-old woman from Stokenchurch, is charged with causing death by dangerous driving and driving while over the prescribed limit.

She has been remanded in custody until 18 June.

In a statement Ms De Gelas's family said: "Judy was first and foremost the best mother and grandmother you could hope for.

"She was a caring and loving person who always put others before herself, nothing was too much trouble for her.

"She never judged anyone, and would always forgive. She never had a bad word to say about anyone."
