Newcastle motorcyclist dies in Corbridge road crash


A motorcyclist who died in a collision with a car on a road in rural Northumberland has been named by police.

Robert Mills, 47, from Newcastle, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on the B6318 Military Road near Corbridge on Saturday.

Northumbria Police said no-one else was injured in the incident.

Any witnesses to the crash, which happened near the Robin Hood Inn pub, should contact the Northumbria force.
