Blackburn man charged with rape of boy, 16


A 60-year-old man has been charged with the rape of a 16-year-old boy in Lancashire.

The attack is alleged to have happened at Perry's car sales garage on Whalley New Road, Blackburn, early on Sunday morning.

Officers were called at about 1500 BST and later charged Ian Smith with two counts of rape.

Mr Smith, of Romney Walk, Blackburn, will appear before magistrates in the town later.
