Nottingham pedestrian named after fatal accident


A woman who died after being hit by a taxi in Nottingham has been named by police.

Pauline Spilsbury, 61, of Bobbersmill, was hit by the vehicle at a pedestrian crossing in Alfreton Road, at the junction with Gregory Boulevard.

The 25-year-old taxi driver and his female passenger were not injured in the incident.

Police have asked any witnesses to the accident just after 0100 BST on Sunday to come forward.
