Man's body discovered on footbridge in Leeds


A man's body has been discovered on a footbridge near a dual carriageway in Leeds.

The body of the man, who is believed to be in his 20s, was found close to the Stanningley bypass on Monday morning.

He was discovered on the footbridge leading from Spring Valley Crescent to the Wellstone Estate.

West Yorkshire Police detectives have arrested a 19-year-old man from the Swinnow area on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody.

Police said they wanted to speak to anybody who had seen any suspicious activity on Monday morning around the bypass or near the Morrisons car park in Bramley.
