Seven people, including five teenagers, have appeared in court accused of murdering a 21-year-old from Lincoln.

Shaun Rossington, of Dunkirk Road, who died from head injuries, was discovered on grassland on 3 June.

Two girls, aged 13 and 16, and two 16-year-old boys were remanded to the care of the local authority.

A boy, 16, was remanded to a young offenders' institution, while Nicholas John Shelbourne, 26, and Mark Jackson, 20, were remanded into custody.

The defendants will reappear at Lincoln Crown Court on 6 August for plea and directions.

Shaun's family have described him as "a lovely lad with no enemies".

He was a football fan and supported Lincoln City and Manchester United, they said.
