Climber injured in Aberdeenshire cliff accident


A climber had to be rescued after being injured on cliffs in Aberdeenshire.

The incident happened near Slains Castle, north of Cruden Bay, on Sunday afternoon.

Two coastguard teams were sent to the scene and an RAF rescue helicopter from Lossiemouth airlifted the man to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.

The extent of the climber's injuries were not known.
