A diver is expected to make a full recovery after suffering suspected decompression sickness off the Borders coast at the weekend.

A lifeboat crew was scrambled at about 1200 BST on Saturday to waters near St Abbs Head.

The man was taken back to the harbour where he was given additional oxygen before he was flown by helicopter to Aberdeen to be recompressed.

The RNLI said the emergency service response had gone "very smoothly".
