People are risking their lives by continuing to use a damaged footbridge over a busy dual-carriageway in Northumberland, say police.
The pedestrian bridge that links High Pit to East Cramlington over the A189 Spine Road was damaged by a police-escorted lorry in March.
Barriers have been erected on the crossing while repairs are carried out.
Northumbria Police said they had also received reports of children playing on the bridge.
Cramlington Neighbourhood Inspector Dave Fitzgerald said: "I'd urge everyone, particularly young people, not to attempt to cross this busy road while the bridge is damaged and to make their way safely using other routes.
"With speeds up to 70mph we do not want anyone to risk injury due to carelessly crossing the road or playing games on the damaged bridge."
